Dean & Sue Gonsior

We are excited to introduce the owners of FIREBREW Bar & Grill, Dean and Sue Gonsior! Originally from a south suburb of Chicago, they have been proud residents of Virginia Beach since 1998 when Dean was stationed here before retiring from the U.S. Navy in April 2002. Dean and Sue are passionate about providing a unique dining experience to all of their customers. They have poured their hearts and souls into FIREBREW Bar & Grill, and their hard work is evident in every aspect of the restaurant. We are honored to have such dedicated and talented individuals as the owners of FIREBREW Bar & Grill.

Assistant GM/Executive Chef Aspen Caples

Since 2017, Executive Chef Aspen Caples has been the creative force behind our kitchen, leading a talented brigade of more than 10 chefs, line cooks, and dishwashers with precision and passion. Her leadership ensures that every dish meets the highest standards of quality, consistency, and timely execution, creating an exceptional dining experience for every guest, every visit.

Renowned for her unmatched culinary expertise, Chef Aspen is celebrated for her innovative approach to cuisine. Her signature style shines in our quarterly wine dinner events, where she expertly crafts menus that elevate flavors and showcase her creativity. With a deep commitment to excellence, she continuously pushes the boundaries of casual dining, making every meal an unforgettable experience.

Hannah McAuliffe (Asst. Manager)

Hannah has been part of the amazing Team FIREBREW since July 2019, starting off as a Server. We're thrilled to share that she was promoted to Assistant Manager in February 2022! Congratulations, Hannah!

Ryan Jones (Asst. Manager)

We are thrilled to introduce you to Ryan, one of the most valuable members of our team at Team FIREBREW! Since joining us in May 2021 as a Server/Bartender, Ryan has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence and an infectious positive attitude that has earned him a well-deserved promotion to Asst. Manager in February 2022. Ryan's versatility is unmatched - he's the only team who has worked every position in our restaurant. When we were short-staffed, Ryan went above and beyond by stepping up to help out as a host, bartender, server, line cook, and even in the dish pit. His hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed, and we are grateful to have him on our team. Thank you, Ryan, for being a true superstar and a jack of all trades!
